Biography
Tajon Nasa Ritu is an enthusiastic media educator currently working as a Lecturer in the Department of Media Studies and Journalism at the World University of Bangladesh. She completed both her Bachelorโs and Masterโs degrees in Mass Communication and Journalism Discipline from Khulna University. During her academic journey, she achieved remarkable success and received several prestigious recognitions. She received the Social Science Deanโs Award from Khulna University for her academic excellence. In addition, she won the Best Presenter Award at the National Seminar 2024 titled โNavigating Post-COVID Challenges and Way Forward in Bangladesh: Advancing Social Justice through Health, Equality and Development.โ She was also awarded the Khulna University Academic Scholarship for four consecutive years during her undergraduate studies. In 2025, she received the Khulna University Research Grant Award for her Masterโs thesis.
Alongside her academic achievements, she has gained valuable professional and leadership experience in journalism, research, and communication. Before joining the World University of Bangladesh, she worked as a Campus Reporter at Risingbd.com. She also served as a Campus Research Ambassador for Be Researcher BD (BRBD) from 2020 to 2024. In addition, she worked as a Finance and Management at Lexicon.
She has actively participated in several professional development programs and training workshops. These include the Youth Leadership Training on Tolerance & Inclusion (21 October to 17 December 2021), Digital Content in Traditional Media (8 September 2021), Workshop on Qualitative Research and Data Analysis through NVivo (October 2023), Mastering Fact- Checking Tools and Techniques for Verifying Social Media Content (16 September 2024), and Digital Content in Electronic Media (November 2024). Her academic excellence, professional dedication, and passion for media and communication continue to shape her journey as an emerging scholar and educator in Bangladesh.
