Q. What is journalism and media studies degree?

Journalism & Media is a subject that deals with researching events, creating accurate reports and then distributing the information to the public through various communication channels.

Q. How long does a journalism and media studies take?

For the degree of Bachelor of Media Studies and Journalism, student will require to earn 132 credit hours including internship (6 credit hours)

Q. Which subject is best for journalism?

There are of course some A-levels that will be helpful – including English literature, creative writing, media studies, politics, languages, economics and history. Studying languages is great because it will allow you to take your journalism qualification all over the world.

Q. Are there jobs in journalism and media studies?

While there are basic jobs such as those of reporters and writers in newspapers, there are also several other jobs, and the scope of journalism is thus very wide.

Q. Can I assist faculty with research?

Faculty in the Department of Journalism and Media Studies examine the role of media—of all types and on all platforms—in culture, society, politics and history. Faculty members are trained in a variety of disciplines (communication, media studies, history, anthropology, and journalism and mass communication) and use a range of research methods, interpretive, qualitative, quantitative, and historical.
