Bachelor of Media Studies and Journalism (BMSJ)

Faculty Spotlight

Prof. Dr. M. Zahangir Kabir
Professor Dr. M. Zahangir Kabir has been teaching Media, Journalism and Communication courses and administering the relevant teaching departments for more than fifteen years as Chairmen / HODs and Professor / Associate Professors at the Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB) Pakistan; Rajshahi University in Bangladesh; Shanto-Mariam University of Creative Technology in Bangladesh; and Manarat International University (MIU) in Bangladesh. In IUB Pakistan, Professor Zahangir Kabir had been teaching media studies and journalism courses for both undergraduate, post-graduate programs, and supervising M.Phil. Students’ Research as well.
M. Zahangir Kabir earned a Ph.D. Degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from the University of Mysore in India under Government Scholarship Scheme. Apart from his Masters in Journalism from the University of Dhaka, he also obtained a Post-Graduate Diploma in Journalism for Developing Countries from the Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC), New Delhi under another Scholarship Scheme.
